Amaya Waymon
Amaya Waymon is a student leader, author, and philanthropist dedicated to advancing menstrual equity and women’s empowerment. She is the Founder & CEO of The Girl Flo, a nonprofit organization committed to increasing access to period products, expanding education and advocacy, and building a world where menstrual health is no longer a barrier to success.
Currently a junior at Tuskegee University majoring in Political Science, Amaya is deeply involved in campus leadership. She launched Tiger’s Comfort Corner, the university’s first menstrual health resource closet, and has led projects placing period product dispensers across schools and campuses.
Through her work, Amaya has partnered with national brands, secured grant funding, and spoken out on legislative solutions to end period poverty. Her passion for advocacy continues to inspire young women to lead, uplift, and create lasting change in their communities.
